Miss Diva

from Montreal Quebec
When we talk about soul-filled Reggae singers from Canada, we must include Miss Diva as a very strong component amongst these artists. Infusing Reggae with Soul has become Miss Diva's trademark and the signature by which her music releases are known.

Not new to music, her 8-track EP, 'Seven Shades of Love' was released in 2016 generating interest from radio stations in Quebec, Ontario and Vancouver. On the international scene, Miss Diva's EP received radio play in the United Kingdom, Jamaica and the United States of America. 'Seven Shades of Love' was produced by Canadian-based Producers Bobby Pottinger along with Brian Kolter and saw Miss Diva tour Canada and the Caribbean in support of its release. The body of work features guest appearances including international Dancehall icon Macka Diamond with whom Miss Diva collaborated to record the Dancehall track, “You A Diva”.

The pandemic allowed Miss Diva the time and space to work on her debut album 'Number One Girl' which was released in 2023. With 13 tracks, the album explores love, relationships and world issues. It is infused with conscious Reggae music that talks about what is going on in the world today, violence and everyday life. Returning for a second collaboration, Miss Diva and Macka Diamond teamed up once again on the cheeky "Buddudup", a fun track that was nominated for the Reggae North Awards' category, Best Dancehall Song of the Year. Expect to see many more as this strong album continues to gain traction. Some more features on the album include a love duet, 'Without You' with Jamaican artist Lutan Fyah who hails from Kingston, 'Growing up With You' which pays homage to Miss Diva's Grandmother and 'O Jah Jah' which asks the Creator for strength.
"Number One Girl" is available on all digital platforms.

Last Winter, Miss Diva did a press tour in Trinidad and began Spring 2024 at the Legends show in Toronto, where she shared the stage with established Reggae icons such as Singing Melody, Glen Washington and Professor Nuts. Coming off of a four-city tour to Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto in the Summer, Miss Diva's tour ended on a high note; learning she had gained two additional Reggae award nominations including Entertainer of the Year.

On the rise, Miss Diva is set to release a Soca EP in early Spring and is currently putting pen to paper in support of this new project as she prepares to return to the studio.
