The Hokum Steamers

Seasoned entertainers Mike Ballantyne and Rick Van Krugel are the acoustic ragtime blues duo, The Hokum Steamers.
Their CD, "Doing the Cater Street Shimmy" includes 14 tracks of 1920s and 1930s blues, hokum, jug band songs and gospel.
Rick and Mike are also joined on occasion by Carter Bannerman on mandola, guitar and vocals.
We are available to play at music festivals, folk clubs, churches (dedicated gospel songs) and to anyone interested in polished, authentic, early country blues and gospel, etc.
