Scars and Scarves

Formed by Annalea & Garrett with the desire to write and perform music that distills their various influences, Scars & Scarves is all about minimalism as maximalism.

Focusing on making their melodies as concise and as direct as possible, the band isn’t afraid to strip away chords, notes, “tricks” and arrangement. Yet the attention to sonic detail is all encompassing as well. Drones, tremolos, distortion, phasing and feedback are essential ingredients to the Scars & Scarves sound. The concept of beautiful chaos and sublimeness within noise is paramount to the existence of the band.
