Cameron Kidd

My paintings develop from a diverse collection of drawings as I endeavor to transform them into something structurally similar. I create and translate my art through different mediums, working by trial and error, using forward thinking to continually challenge myself.

My goal is to create pieces which are balanced within their composition while utilizing line and symbolism. I use paint to evolve the drawing concepts into a richer, larger format while maintaining the simplicity of the original idea.

My current work is part of a long term exploration of color and subject matter. Inspired by randomness, lucidity and the continually changing possibilities of thought, I am always trying to create something visually new. I explore many ideas and constantly challenge myself to step into the unknown, creating a large and diverse array of visual material.
