Slush Puppie Place (formerly Leon’s Centre) is a 6,700 seat sports and entertainment venue located in downtown Kingston, Ontario, Canada, at the intersection of Ontario Street and The Tragically Hip Way. Kingston’s ‘The Tragically Hip’ performed the inaugural concert in the arena the next night on Saturday, February 23, 2008.Since opening, Slush Puppie Plac has hosted hundreds of sporting events, concerts, special events, and community activities. World-renowned artists, athletes, and performers have come to Kingston through this facility. Slush Puppie Plac has been recognized at the Canadian Music & Broadcast Industry awards by being named “Major Venue of the Year” for facilities under 8,000 capacity 8 times over the past 10 years.
