The main concert hall is the Alix Goolden Performance Hall, named in honour of Alix Goolden, the woman who contributed so much to the dream of a music conservatory in Victoria. This 800-seat hall has earned a reputation among local music lovers for its fine acoustics and simple elegance.

The 900 Johnson Street entrance is at ground-level and wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator located on the first floor: as you enter the building go down the ramp to the right and the elevator is on the left at the bottom.
