Event Description
The Night Before Event is a special occasion that brings together people from the community to celebrate words, music, and the achievements of Project Literacy Victoria’s adult learners every year.Performing at this year’s Night Before Event will be folk musicians extraordinaire Calvin Cairns and Paul O’Brien. Calvin Cairns is one of Canada’s top fiddle players, and Paul O’Brien plays guitar and sings, drawing on “the great tradition of story in song that makes music so important.” Together, they form a high energy Celtic duo that is not to be missed.
The event will also feature presentations by the learners of Project Literacy Victoria.
This event is a fundraiser for Project Literacy Victoria, a non-profit organization providing adults in our community with free help and support in basic reading, writing, mathematics, and computer skills.
