A tattoo (the military kind, as opposed to the inky, painful and sometimes regrettable kind) is a demonstration of precision military drumming, piping or musical expertise.

The Tattoo has evolved over the centuries to become a family-friendly variety show of celtic and world music.
Victoria welcomes performers from around the world for the inaugural PACIFIC TATTOO. . A tightly woven, full production spectacle of music and movement, THE PACIFIC TATTOO features military bands, massed pipes and drums, dancers, and special skills demonstrations. Many of the performers have appeared previously at the world-renowned Edinburgh Tattoo and Halifax's Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo.
