The Victoria Gilbert and Sullivan Society with their 50 singers and under the direction of George Corwin and Tom Mitchell, is joined by the 50-piece Civic Orchestra of Victoria in this uproarious, absurd, and hugely pleasing comic opera. In this wonderfully witty satire of cherished institutions and attitudes, bumbling police, a pompous military and slavish devotion to duty are all skewered with rapier wit of Gilbert and Sullivan.Performances also on Nov 9 & 10 at Mary Winspear, Sidney
