Intro to Burlesque with Crystal Precious
Explore the history of the world’s sexiest art form and hear how it is still alive today in underground cabarets all over North America. Learn costume tips and tricks to get started without blowing your budget. Feel fabulous with simple ideas that will help to develop your own burlesque persona including: basic movements, choosing music, and what to expect on stage.
The Funny Side to the Fanny with Your Little Pony
This workshop will teach different theatre techniques for coming up with short comic acts while incorporating the sultry art of burlesque. Participants will have time to flesh out themes and develop them into fully choreographed burlettas. Workshop will address partner and solo dances, troupe work, audience participation, props, and costumes. Learn how to use burlesque as a way to mock, arouse, and amuse!!!
