Event Description
With the 2018 My Great Neighbourhood Grant intake period looming on the horizon (opening March 1) and another $120,000 to be awarded for neighbourhood initiatives, we want to let you know that on Wednesday March 14th, from 1pm to 5pm, the City of Victoria’s Great Neighbourhood Team will be hosting the inaugural Great Neighbourhood Block Party at the Da Vinci Centre in Vic West. This event will be a chance for like-minded community members to get together to learn about the great ideas and cool projects that are currently transforming Victoria’s neighbourhoods.The event will be broken into three main components:
· a keynote speaker and a workshop focused on deepening community
· a science fair style format for the 2016 grant recipients to showcase their projects
· a licensed social component with interactive fun
