Event Description
Celebrating music from Motown to Memphis, New York and beyondMotown Meltdown has remained, year after year, one of the more highly anticipated events in Vancouver. Sing and dance your way through earth-shaking, toe-tapping Motown hits. Step back in time to the 1960s and '70s, and remember your favourite tunes from Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin and many more!
Anchoring the 2019 incarnation of Motown Meltdown is a 12-piece band of the most seasoned and veteran session musicians in the country who will accompany 25 dynamic and exciting performers, each singing a classic soul tune.
All the artists happily lend their talents for the cause. Proceeds from the evening benefit Seva Canada, a Vancouver-based charity whose mission is to restore sight and prevent blindness in developing countries.
