The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia presents the intoxicating “ethno chaos” of DakhaBrakha on October 19, 2019, at 8pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. Fusing beguiling beats, serpentine melodies, and traditional Ukrainian folklore, the sound of Kiev-based quartet DakhaBrakha moves from ecstatic to elegiac as gorgeous theatricality elevates the group “beyond mere curiosity to utter brilliance” (NPR).
