The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia presents pianist, vocalist, and composer Damian Sneed’s captivating program We Shall Overcome on Saturday February 29, 2020, at 8pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. Recognized for “using his artistry to make our world a better place” (Wynton Marsalis), Sneed brings his multi-genre virtuosity to a program that resonates with hope and joyful community, interweaving recordings from Dr. King’s speeches with gospel, classical, jazz and more alongside a breathtakingly skilled eight-piece ensemble.
