The Victoria Bluegrass Association and The Cowichan Valley Bluegrass Festival are thrilled to present two-time Grammy nominee The Special Consensus, hailed as "inventive, innovative and improvisational" by No Depression and winners of six awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA). The band is led by legendary banjo player Greg Cahill, recipient of the prestigious Distinguished Achievement Award from the IBMA and inducted into the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America Hall of Greats. Band members include powerhouse vocalist and former Kansas State Flatpicking champion Greg Blake (twice nominated as IBMA vocalist of the year), Nashville based bassist Dan Eubanks, and Michael Prewitt (mandolin).
