Event Description

This workshop will guide artists/ beginners to take their paintings to another level with the introduction of colour theory using acrylic paint. The first half of the workshop, participants will learn the basics of colour theory including complementary colours, analogous colours, hue, value and colour temperature while creating a personal colour wheel. Early afternoon will flow from colour theory into getting acquainted with a variety painting tools and basic composition components. Three paintings will be created, using each of three mediums: acrylic, watercolour and pastel. Students will leave with a useful collection of colour exercises and colour wheel on canvas to hang for continued reference.
