Event Description
As part of our Black History Month celebration, Garden City Grooves is excited to announce a special workshop featuring our biggest panel yet. For the first time, all three performers featured on Night 2 of Garden City Grooves – Tanika Charles, Missy D and Alpha Centauri – will be joining us for a free-flowing discussion touching on a range of topics. These three amazing performers are all creating music in different genres but there are common threads through all their music that brings them together. Join us as we sit down to discuss community, being Black independent musicians in Canada, musical influences and whole lot more. We’ll also open up the floor to the attending audience to ask questions directly to the artists (time permitting!)This very special workshop is FREE and all-ages!
