Event Description
Originally from Victoria, BC, Chase Ward is a Toronto-based Musician and Composer. He is currently finishing his Bachelor's degree in Jazz Performance. Ward has been fortunate to have studied under some of the world's top musicians and educators, including Joaquin Nunez Hildalgo, Mark Kelso, Larnell Lewis, and Hilario Duran. Chase has explored many genres and is well-versed in Jazz, Latin, Brazilian, and Afro-Cuban music.Ward tours across Canada with his Trio, a project dedicated to storytelling and improvisation. Made up of three friends with a shared passion for live performance, the Trio ensures that each show differs from the last. In addition to Ward, the Trio features Edmonton-born composer and Arranger Simon Williams (Piano) and Victoria's very own Josh Warren (Bass).
Returning home to Victoria for a one-night-only performance, Ward will be joined by special guests Roy Styffe (Saxophone) and Wes Carroll (Guitar) to play a combined show with his Trio, debuting new music in promotion for Ward's debut album set to release in the coming months.
