Mercury Players Society stages Brontë: The World Without, Jordi Mand's drama about the three ambitious Brontë sisters, talented writers vying with one another and the male-dominated literary world of 19th-century England. Sylvia Swift directs. On stage evenings May 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 at 7.30 pm, and matinées May 4, 10, 11 at 2.30 pm, at Duncan United Church, 246 Ingram St. Tickets $25/$20 s/s, online via www.mercuryplayers.org and cash sales in person at Ten Old Books. $35 buys two tickets for opening night.
