So the tone is set for Unmade in Minutes, Pastel Blank’s first full-length LP. Out of necessity, today’s anxieties become tonight’s reason to dance. Things are heating up; our attention is being held captive, profit is weighed out against human life, and on top of it all, you can’t stop craving a cigarette.
Unmade in Minutes is maximalist, genre-blending cubist chaos. The songs range from new wave to disco to post-punk, filtered through a warped funhouse mirror art-rock perspective.
The resulting songs expand upon the bare-bones indie-rock of debut EP, Pastel Blanc, reconciling the sweaty buzz of Pastel Blank’s incendiary live show with this forthcoming release.
Led by songwriter Angus Watt, Pastel Blank is based out of Victoria, Vancouver, and Montréal.
Notable performances include La Machine du Moulin Rogue for MaMA Festival in Paris FR, The Strongroom in London UK, and opening for Unknown Mortal Orchestra at The Vogue Theatre in Vancouver."
