Deaf Spirit Theatre is a Deaf-led performance company that celebrates the richness of Deaf culture through vibrant, expressive theatre. Blending American Sign Language (ASL), physical comedy, visual storytelling, and signed music, DST creates shows that entertain, engage, and connect audiences of all backgrounds. Drawing inspiration from icons like Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, and Laverne & Shirley, their performances embrace bold humor and heartfelt moments, all without spoken words. As resident artists at THE BOX in Kingston, Ontario, DST champions accessibility, creativity, and Deaf representation in the arts—proving that great stories don’t need sound to be heard.
