Event Description
Join TransFamily Kingston to memorialize those lost to transphobia and draw attention to ongoing violence towards transgender people.All community members are welcome for a reading of names, followed by speakers, performances, and singing. There will be resources and a community care table, light snacks and refreshments, and a quiet gender diverse only space.
This event is brought to you by TransFamily Kingston, KFPL, Beyond the Binary, Kingston Pride, Alma Mater Society Social Issues Commission, Resolve Counselling, and Trellis.
Meet 1: Vigil followed by community speakers (6-8pm)
Meet 2: quieter & dim lit gender diverse only space (i.e. transgender, non-binary, genderfluid, agender, bigender, Two-Spirit, or any other non-cisgender identity)
Meet 3: light snacks and refreshments, socializing
Meet 4: resources and community care table
There will be space on site for smudging.
