Celebrating Maria’s new album, Yesterday and Tomorrow.A globally celebrated artist, Maria Solena has enchanted audiences alongside jazz luminaries such as Richie Cole, George Robert, Phil Dwyer, Campbell Ryga, and Seamus Blake. Her music has been featured on CBC Radio, WAMC/Northeast Public Radio, KUVO, and even as bumper music for the internationally syndicated Coast to Coast AM. Emmy Award-winner Michael K. Leader describes Maria’s voice as “meticulous in phrasing, delicate in dynamics, and possessing an almost transparent quality that reveals the true beauty of music.”
There is a delicate elegance to Solena’s nostalgic songs; it bubbles to the surface on “Before The Night Is Done” and the Latin-tinged “Hold Me Tight. “She demonstrates her ability to merge an unhurried, tasteful approach with contemporary flair, creating arrangements that feel both classic and refreshingly modern.
