The UVic Orchestra will perform Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8, a joyful and warmly lyrical work filled with Bohemian dance rhythms, pastoral colours, and a celebratory sense of vitality. The UVic Chorus and Orchestra unite for Francis Poulenc’s exuberant Gloria. By turns playful, solemn, and soaring, this choral tour-de-force showcases Poulenc’s unmistakable blend of reverence and spirited joy. Find stillness in the UVic Chamber Singers’ performance of Knut Nystedt’s Immortal Bach — a meditative and luminous reimagining of Bach that suspends time through gently unfolding harmonies.
